About Toolvist

Toolvist is a free collection of browser-based tools that run entirely on your device. Formatters, converters, calculators, encoders, generators and checkers — the small utilities you reach for several times a week, gathered in one place instead of scattered across a dozen ad-heavy websites.

There is no account to create, no file to upload, and no software to install. Every tool works the moment the page loads, and anything you paste stays on your device.

Why use Toolvist?

  • Free, with no catch — no subscriptions, trials or usage limits
  • Private by design — processing happens in your browser, so your data is never uploaded
  • No sign-up — open a tool and use it, nothing to register
  • Fast — static pages with almost no JavaScript, so they load instantly
  • Works on mobile — every tool is responsive and touch-friendly
  • No tracking — no analytics scripts, no advertising networks

How Toolvist works

Most tools on the web send your input to a server, process it there, and send the result back. Toolvist does not. Each tool is a self-contained page that does its work locally using the browser APIs already on your device. Nothing you type, paste or drop in is transmitted anywhere.

That design has practical benefits beyond privacy. There is no upload wait on a large file, no queue, and no server that can go down or start charging. It also means the site keeps working on a poor connection, and costs almost nothing to run — which is how it stays free.

A handful of tools do need the network by nature: the DNS, WHOIS, ASN and ping lookups query public services to answer questions about a domain. Those are the exceptions, and each one says so on its page.

Frequently asked questions

Is Toolvist really free?

Yes. Every tool is free to use with no account, no trial period and no daily limit. Because the tools run on your own device, running costs are minimal and there is nothing to meter.

Do you store or upload my files and text?

No. Your input is processed in the browser and never sent to us. You can confirm this yourself — open your browser developer tools, switch to the network tab, and use any tool. No request carries your content.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Every tool runs in a standard web browser on desktop, tablet or phone. There is no app, no browser extension and no plugin to keep updated.

Can I use these tools for work or commercial projects?

Yes. There is no restriction on what you produce with them. As with any tool, check the result yourself before it goes into something that matters — a formatter will always tell you your JSON is valid, but only you know whether the data is right.

Which tools need an internet connection?

Only the DNS lookup, WHOIS lookup, ASN lookup and ping test, since they ask public services about a domain or host. Everything else runs offline once the page has loaded.
